The Heavy Vehicle Registration & Assessment Scheme or otherwise known as H.V.R.A.S involves the positive identification, dimensional measurements, approved load axle system verification, safe tyre limits, correct compliance and modification plates, engine number, VIN, Chassis number and TARE weight verification and weight calculations of a vehicle before it is registered in the State of Queensland.
(This is a separate inspection to a Safety Certificate inspection)
Both these inspections are mandatory on the following unregistered types of vehicles over 750kgs ATM or Heavy Vehicle over 4.5t to 16t GVM.to qualify for registration.
